The Outsiders have developed a comprehensive artificial turf maintenance program to maximize performance, appearance, and longevity of your artificial turf field. This complete program offers on-site field inspection, deep cleaning, field disinfectant, and field repair.

In order to get the most out of your artificial surface, it is recommended that your turf receives five cleanings per year.

On-Site Inspection

The Outsider’s specialist will evaluate your field to assess the condition of the turf and infill as well as identify any other problems. The specialist will inform the field owner of any turf issues and will follow up with a detailed written report highlighting any problems with solutions for issues such as loose seams, damaged fibers, discoloration, infill uniformity, etc.

De-Compaction

Annual de-compaction reverses the effect that continuous foot traffic has on the infill loft. This loft is what cushions falls, holds blades upright, provides ultimate traction and speeds draining. The Outsiders uses a process that shatters the compacted material by laterally shaking the infill. It lifts the infill, in turn holding the fiber more upright.

Rotary Brush & Vacuum Cleaning / Metal Extraction

Vacuuming removes foreign material from the fiber and infill. It improves the playability of the artificial turf, the drainage of the turf, and of course the appearance of the turf.

The rotary brush lifts the broken fibers, leaves, papers and other foreign matter out of the turf and into a hopper so that it can be hauled offsite.

In addition to the power sweep a high powered magnet is pulled across the surface to extract ferrous metals.

Infill Leveling & Turf Grooming

Infill leveling redistributes the infill that is moved by concentrated play and migration. Grooming also moves the pile upright to help with traction and cushioning as well as improving drainage and reducing fiber wear.
